The Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not disclose, sell, distribute, rent, licence, share or pass onto any third parties personal information you have provided to us, unless we have your consent to do so. The only times we would use or disclose information is if:

  • It is required by law,
  • We believe it is necessary to protect the rights or property of Berryd Opals,
  • We feel it is necessary to our terms of service.

Information Security

While Berryd Opals undertakes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no guarantee can be given that information sent over the Internet is always 100% secure. Sending and receiving information over the Internet is at the user's own risk, however we will do everything possible to ensure your data security once we receive it.

Steps to counter Credit Card Fraud

Due to some very serious credit card fraud experiences, Berryd Opals reserve the right to question the validity of the card holder if they are from Singapore or Indonesia or if there appears something suspicious about the order. We will require upon request,

  • A scan or copy of the credit card to check against the Camtech Internet Payments system.
  • A copy or scan of the signature on the back of the card as well as your signature.
  • We will phone you, at our expense, as soon as possible to discuss the issue with you.

We know this can be an inconvenience but we have to cover ourselves based on passed experience. If you wish to phone or email us before making a purchase, so we can discuss these terms with you over the telephone or by email, please let me know.

Money Back Guarantee

There is no money back guarantee unless stipulated at the time of sale and/or within the description of item.


  • No responsibility will be held by Berryd Opals if the customer does not wish to insure their parcel.
  • We recommend that all parcels be insured.
  • Postage rates will change with any changes made to Australian Post rates.
  • Any postage over AUD$5,000 will need to be sent via FEDEX.


GST is to be collected from all Australian customers at a rate of 10%. This does not apply to international customers.

Opal Parcels

We endeavour to inform you of all details associated with the Opal as we are informed of the opal. A full disclosure of faults will be done to the best of our knowledge. Once the parcel is sold, no responsibility by us is held.
